We successfully completed the NIRI Bioinformatics Bootcamp 2025—our third batch! Out of 65 registrations, we enrolled 32 participants this year, making it our largest cohort so far. Participants came from multiple countries, diverse academic backgrounds, and varying levels of expertise. We’re proud to have brought together such an amazing group, fostering knowledge-sharing and collaborative learning.
Conducted through online sessions (20 hours) from January 25, 2025, to February 23, 2025, the bootcamp covered a comprehensive range of topics in bioinformatics. Participants explored key concepts in genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics while gaining hands-on experience with bioinformatics databases and tools such as BLAST, multiple sequence alignments, and phylogenetics. The sessions also delved into advanced topics like mutation detection, DNA methylation, gene expression analysis, molecular pathways, gene networks, and clustering. Additionally, the bootcamp integrated biostatistics and artificial intelligence applications in bioinformatics, along with discussions on clinical prognosis and survival analyses.
We are incredibly proud of this amazing group of participants who engaged deeply with these topics and showcased their learning through presentations and discussions.
Here are some glimpses of the bootcamp and an overview of our participants!
