Who Weβre Looking For
We are seeking two motivated Research Assistants with a background in health (e.g., Health Assistant) who are enthusiastic about contributing to impactful research on senior citizen care and wellbeing in Upper Mustang.
Preferred Qualifications:
Health-related background (HA or similar)
Experience in field surveys or data collection
A local
Two-wheeler and valid license (preferred)
Strong communication in Local Language, Nepali, and English
Primary Responsibilities
Data Collection
Conduct fieldwork and structured interviews with senior citizens
Ensure adherence to research protocols and ethical standards
Data Entry & Management
Input collected data accurately and maintain confidentiality
Participant Interaction
Uphold respectful, confidential, and ethical engagement
Ensure proper informed consent from all participants
Literature Review
Support the PI and Project Manager in reviewing relevant research on senior citizen health and care
Report Preparation
Help prepare research summaries, data analysis notes, and reports for internal use and journal publication
Training & Support
Attend training sessions on ethical research and data collection
Assist Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs) in understanding their roles in the research
Monitoring & Feedback
Report field challenges to the PI and Project Manager
Suggest practical solutions to improve research quality
Timeline
Start Date: May 15, 2025
Commitment: 3 months of active fieldwork
Extended Support: May be required until the final publication of the research article
