The scope of antifungal resistance in Nepal remains largely underexplored, with insufficient data on the prevalence of fungal infections and resistance patterns, impeding the formulation of effective public health strategies and policies. This review study aims to fill this knowledge gap by synthesizing existing research on antifungal resistance in Nepal, particularly focusing on recent findings related to drug-resistant fungal pathogens. ~It will also emphasize the need for continuous research, alternative treatment strategies, and the adoption of~ a One Health approach to address emerging threat of fungal diseases. The insights from this review will be essential for informing policy development and strengthening public health interventions in Nepal against the escalating threat of antifungal resistance.
